Harmidas’ Obituary
Harmidas Félix Houle, long time resident of Jean-Coté (AB), passed away on November 18 at the Peace River Community Health Centre, at 87 years of age. Harmidas was born on September 12, 1933 in Morinville (AB) to Félix & Edma Houle.
In his earlier years, he worked in contruction and managed a gas station in British Columbia. In 1976, he began cattle/grain farming and worked as a grader operator, until his retirement. Harmidas enjoyed camping, hosting large family gatherings and singing at many Christmas Eve masses. He was also a long time member of the Knights of Columbus.
Harmidas is pre-deceased by his parents; sisters Juliette, Thérèse, Georgette, Irène and Hectorine; son Gilbert Houle; daughter Claudette Boisvert; grand-daughter Nicole Keryluke; great-grandchildren Luca + Léo Cloutier.
He is survived by his wife Lucille; children Denis (Yvonne), Donald (Shirley), Marguerite Houle (Marc Belley), Claude (Irène), Ronald (Anne), Jean-Louis, Laurier (Yvette); son-in-law Daniel Boisvert; siblings Irma, Marielle, Adrien.
A funeral service will take place on November 21 at 1:00 p.m. from Chapel of Memories, Peace River. Interment will take place at Jean-Coté Cemetery.
Due to COVID restrictions, attendance will be limited.
