Obituary of Grant Teeple
Teeple, Grant Douglas of Aylmer, passed away peacefully at Terrace Lodge on Thursday, April 16th, 2020 in his 71st year. Loved by his wife and best friend Barb (Deane), sons Adam (Sandy) and Matt (Tam) and special granddaughter Mae. Grant was the youngest of 5 siblings, sisters the late Carol Player (Keith), Sylvia Hall (late Terry), Judy Hartley (Bruce) and brother Dan Teeple (Wanda). He was also loved by the Deane family Bill Deane (Lynn), the late Nancy Campbell (Don), Sue Morgan (Tom), Judy Deane, the late Ken Deane (Lucie) and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Born in St Thomas on Oct 8, 1949, son of the late Eva (Cloes) and Eric Teeple. Grant grew up on a mixed farm in Jaffa ON, where he spent his days tending to animals, harvesting tobacco and riding his pony. Later he worked his way into construction and trucking, settling into a career for many years driving truck for Aylmer Ready Mix that was owned by George and Carol Catherwood. Grant enjoyed the outdoors, whether it was fishing and hunting up at Mud Lake in Whitestone or being out on the water in Pt. Bruce. He also loved the weekend party trips to watch the Toronto Blue Jays with the Teeple and Deane families. Grant spent his last years at Terrace lodge where he was treated with the utmost care and compassion, a big thank you to all the staff. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Grant’s life will take place at a later date. Donations to the Terrace Lodge Auxiliary would be appreciated. Please share memories and condolences at kebbelfuneralhome.com
