Obituary
Graham Arthur Brown passed away peacefully on Wednesday April 1, 2020 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in December of 1948, he was the son of the late Murray and Louise Brown.
Graham Brown grew up in Sydney, Nova Scotia and began his radio caeer in 1976 after deciding that working in a steel mill wasn’t his cup of tea.
Graham spent almost 40 years in radio and was known for his deep voice on air but also was an excellent news reporter with the ability to put newsmakers at ease so they would open up to him.
He worked at CHSJ Radio in Saint John from 1989 to 1998, the last few years as News Director and then at Maritime Broadcasting, Rogers and Legends 103 before retiring.
Graham was known for his dry, ironic sense of humour, his love of chess, books and as a collector of pens, hats and walking sticks. His eccentricity made him unique as well as his John Wayne impression. He was an all-round good guy, a brave soul who valued his friendships and will be missed by those people who had the good fortune of knowing him.
At his request there will be no visitation or funeral service. Donations in his memory may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
