Obituary of Gloria Day
Passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side at St. Joseph’s Hospice in London, on February 11, 2020. Born in Owen Sound on December 16, 1930, Gloria Gertrude Day (née Publuske) of London, formerly of Owen Sound and RR#1 Hanover, was in her 90th year.
Dearly beloved wife of the late Donald Bruce Day (2006). Loving mother of Don and his wife Linda of Owen Sound, Stephen and his wife Marie of Bowmanville, Allan and his wife Judy of Goderich, Bradley of London, and Michael and his wife Karen of St. Thomas. Cherished Grandma of thirty grand, great-grand, and great-great-grandchildren.
Dear sister Ted (Julie) Publuske, Mary (Orlando) Martina, and sister-in-law of Ruth Publuske. Gloria will also be missed by her many nieces, nephews and friends.
Predeceased by her parents, Ed and Dora (née Cohen) Publuske, daughter-in-law Michelle Day, sister Harlene (Vernon) Dunford, sister Betty (Jim) Allen, brother Lloyd Publuske, brother Bob Publuske, and by great-great-grandson Walker Day.
Cremation is taking place and a memorial service to celebrate Gloria’s life will be held at the BRIAN E. WOOD FUNERAL HOME, 250 – 14th Street West, Owen Sound (519-376-7492) on Thursday, February 20, 2020 at 2 p.m. Interment will take place in Annan Cemetery, at a later date.
