Glenna Robinson of
Fredericton NB passed away on December 18, 2020. Glenna is survived by
her brother Doug (Lynette) Hanson; son Randy (Julie); daughters Linda
& Lisa (Trevor); and grandsons Christopher & Tanner.
She was predeceased by her husband Gordon, her parents Lee and Addie
(Williams) Hanson and brothers Harold, Aubrey, Kenneth, and
Karl.
Born in 1934 in
Fredericton’s Rabbit Town neighbourhood she excelled in
academic achievement. Most years she was at the top of her class.
Glenna married in 1953 and went on to become a devoted wife to Gordon
for over 51 years. She was a loving and supportive mother and
grandmother, most particularly to her grandsons who she loved with her
whole heart encouraging them in every way she could. Love of others
was her hallmark.
She always
attempted to meet a need wherever she found it. She believed Love
never fails. Glenna was a loyal friend and trusted and valued
employee. She followed her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ whether
recording radio programs at CJRI or preparing devotionals with the
many groups she was involved with. Recently Glenna established a
reading program to her fellow residents at Nashwaak
Villa.
Glenna attended
George Street United Baptist Church and then Grace memorial Baptist
Church for over 80 years. Mom as she was affectionately called truly
loved people and loved showing that love. She was a Sunday School
Teacher, Mission Band Leader, charter member of Ferne School WMS,
president of Christian Women’s Club and a Deacon. Her
favorite activities were greeting people after Sunday morning service
in the Welcome Centre over coffee and attending Tuesday night Bible
Study.
The family wishes
to express its deep appreciation to the staff of Nashwaak Villa for
the compassion. Love and care that they gave to Mom these last 4
years. We could not have asked or wished for any better care. Your
graciousness and love will always be
remembered.
Resting at
Bishop’s Funeral Home 540 Woodstock Road Fredericton, where
visitation will take place on Monday, December 21, 2020 from 2-4
& 7-9PM with Bishop’s Funeral Home staff on hand to
assist with Covid-19 protocols and guidelines. A funeral service will
be held from Grace Memorial Baptist Church celebrating Mom’s
life on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at 1PM with Rev. Dr. Peter Lohnes
officiating. Interment will take place in the Sunny Bank Cemetery in
the spring.

Grace Memorial Baptist Church or to the Nashwaak Villa in
Stanley.
