Gladys Wolfe (nee Priebe), age 82, passed away peacefully on January 16, 2020, due to complications following a brain aneurysm repair. She was born March 14, 1937 in Flowing Well, Saskatchewan to Nelson and Amalia Priebe. She married Daniel Wolfe in April of 1962 in Mali, West Africa.
She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt and served in ministry in Africa, Saskatchewan, Quebec, Ontario and BC as pastor’s wife, hostess, pianist, soloist, Sunday school teacher, leader of women’s ministries and prayer warrior. She exemplified the love of Jesus to others.
She had many hobbies – sewing, crochet, painting, hardanger, cake-decorating and card-making. She loved to read, play games and set puzzles.
Gladys is survived by her husband Daniel, her daughter Debbie; her daughter and husband Valerie and David Garratt; her son and wife Jeffrey and Lorna Wolfe; grandchildren Jonathan and Ali Wolfe, Tessa and Evan Colyer, Alex and Becca Garratt, Rachelle and Taylor McBride, Lindsey and Steve Morrison, Emma Wolfe, Ryan Wolfe; her sister Eileen Adrian; sister Marilyn Funk; sister and husband Faye and Bob Brons; brother and wife Larry and Wilma Priebe; and many nieces and nephews and other relatives.
Please join us for her celebration of life on Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at 2 pm at Grace Church, 2087 McMillan Rd, Abbotsford. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Communitas Supportive Care Society, her daughter Debbie’s care home, at www.communitascare.com .
