On this day, while we are mourning, Geraldine is in heaven playing cards with her loving husband, Clement (2004), dear son, Donald (1980) and many of her adored friends, who certainly saved a spot for her. There no doubt will be a roar of laughter as Geraldine, for good reason, delivers her famous line, “It’s better to bear the pain than it is to bear the shame.”
Geraldine brought forth 9 children, who produced 22 grandchildren who brought 41 great-grandchildren into this world, leaving behind an immense legacy.
An honest, generous and loving mother to: Gerald and Diane Turmel, Michelle and Robert Masotti, Claudette Ianucci, Donald (1980) and surviving wife Karen and Marc Godin, Giselle and Gary Smith, Rachel and Michael Delaney, Claude Turmel, Sherry Lynn and Bob Leclaire and her baby Paul Turmel.
A social butterfly who worked hard and played the same way, she will most certainly be missed.
It has been her wish, that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Autism Ontario Windsor Es or Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Windsor Es Chapter.
A small family gathering will be held at a later date.
