Obituary
On Saturday, November 7, 2020, God finally agreed that Frances Louisa Archambault (Massier), could come on home to renovate, paint, decorate and try out her shiny new wings. Fran, loving wife, mother of five, grandmother of nine and great grandma of one, passed away at age 73, after a hard fought battle with cancer, surrounded by her family. Born on February 18, 1947, Fran was the only child to Francis Victor Massier and Gladys Ann Louise Radford. In her youth, Frances developed a love for sailing as a Sea Ranger. She graduated as an RNA, and practiced nursing in obstetrics. On February 4, 1967 she married the love of her life Albert Archambault. Together, they raised two daughters and three sons. Fran always on the go, had many interests and talents. She was gifted at sewing, quilting, and stain glass. She bred, showed and trained Portuguese Water Dogs (Portside). Together with her dogs, she volunteered with St. John’s Ambulance therapy dog program, visiting schools, helping children learning to read and providing comfort to patients in the cancer and palliative care wing of the Mississauga Credit Valley Hospital. Frances was devoted to her Catholic faith. She volunteered her time at church and, together with her husband, at Queen of Apostles Renewal Centre. Education was important to Frances. She had a PR diploma from Humber College. Later in life she went back to school and graduated with a BA from the University of Toronto. She loved travel, making new friends, cottaging and sailing. Frances’ first and biggest love was making a home for her family. Her love for a chat, witty sense of humour, compassion and enduring strength will be remembered. Frances is survived by her husband Al and their five children, Melody, Marylee, Peter, Nathaniel and Andrew. Grandchildren, Nicholas, Megan, Madeline, Aderyn, Alexandra, Findlay, Luc, Elizabeth, Raven, and great grandchild Madison.

A private funeral mass for Frances will be held on Thursday November 12, 2020 at St. John Brebeuf Roman Catholic Church, 24 Millwood Road, Erin. Interment to follow at Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Acton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sick Kids Hospital or the Hospice Wellington.
