MARSHALL, Frances (Fran)
In her 88th year, passed with peace and grace on October 24. She was predeceased by her loving husband Terry in 2010. Survived by sons Terry, Bob (Gwyneth), Kevin (Iris) and Shaun (Tanya); grandchildren: Terence, James, Meghan, Robin, Caeleigh, Branden, Jack and Leah; great grandchildren: Ava, Juney, Brynn, Paige, Hunter, Tristan and Frankie. She was predeceased by her loving sister Peg and brothers Arthur and George. Fran will be sadly missed by brother-in-law Nester and by her many nieces and nephews.
Fran was born of good prairie stock in Saskatoon, she was a much-admired track and field star through her high school years and completed her teacher’s certification there. After meeting and marrying Terry, she threw her energies into raising their children whilst teaching elementary school fulltime through the years. She and Terry retired and spent as much time as possible at the family property on Lake Clear. She will be always remembered as a loving mother and grandmother and a generous and fun-loving “north shore” host to many neighbours and friends. Fran was always ready with a knowing smile and her sharp wit.
Given the times, and at Fran’s request, there will be no funeral service. A celebration of life for family and friends will be arranged at Lake Clear on a future date. The family wishes to thank Hospice Renfrew for their exceptional care. Those who wish may make a donation to the hospice.
