It is with immense sadness and heavy hearts to announce that Vicky left us unexpectedly to join her family and friends in heaven at the age of 76. She left behind her devoted and loving husband of 55 years, James Fehr; their only son Ryan (and his wife Nicole); grandchildren Jaymie (and her husband Colten), Emily, and Noah; great-grandson Nixon; brother Ray (and his wife Adeline); and nieces and nephews. Those who went before her include her mother Rhoda; father Charles “Chic”; her sister Diane and brother Chuck; her best friend Shelora; and many others.
Vicky, originally of Hamilton, Ontario will be remembered by her many friends and neighbours as a sweet, kind, selfless woman and a proud mother, grandmother and friend. She was always up for breakfast at the Country Store, where she loved talking to everybody, or hosting happy hour. In the summertime she could often be found on her deck scratching her bingo tickets or doing crosswords while watching the birds. She loved watching figure skating, dance competitions and re-runs of Happy Days; and we really hope they have Keno up there!
In her younger years she enjoyed camping, painting, pottery, crocheting and playing bingo. Vicky was well liked by all of her co-workers at Sears where she worked for many years. She always had the ability to make friends where ever she went; she made a lasting impression on everyone that she met. Undoubtedly, no one will ever forget the sound of Vicky walking into a room and lighting it up with her unmistakable presence.
We will be remembering & celebrating Vicky’s life with an “In Memorandum” tribute video in the weeks to come (a link will be added here when it is available to view).
