WILLIAMS, Faye Evelyn (nee Porter)
We are saddened to announce the passing of Faye Williams at the age of 88 years on Friday, August 7, 2020 at Oliver Lodge in Saskatoon. Faye is survived by her husband of 68 years, Clarence Williams; brother Ben Porter; daughter Linda Boire; son Vern Williams; son Don (Lisa) Williams; grandchildren Terry (Doreen), Tammy (Rene), Alisha (Martin), Vanessa, Kurtis, Travis (Katelyn), Tyler (Brandy), Talia (Tommy), Dean (Tracy), Trina (Stephen), Justin, Jordan, Ashleigh (Dan), Riley (Jill); as well as 22 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Faye and Clarence spent the early years raising their young family in Saskatoon before settling on the farm near Vanscoy. They were so proud to call the “Lazy W” home. The name was ironic as they worked so hard to create their beautiful property. Many years were spent raising Percheron horses; attending shows and local rodeos was such a highlight for them. Mom really enjoyed gardening and of course baking her “famous buns.” Both of which we all enjoyed immensely. Faye was predeceased by her son Brian (2013); and daughter-in-law Valentia (2015). Thank-you so much to the wonderful staff of Oliver Lodge for taking such good care of Mom over the last few months. Due to the Covid-19 restrictions, a Private Family Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, August 14, 2020. For those unable to attend, the live-stream link will be available on Wednesday. Plans for a larger celebration of life will be made when we are all able to come together. Memorial donations may be made to the Diabetes Association (104-2301 Ave. C N., Saskatoon, SK S7L 5Z5).
