Eunice passed away peacefully July 14, 2020 at the age of 97 years during her residency at the Aspen Ridge Lodge, Didsbury. AB. Eunice was born and raised at Ghost Pine, AB. She married Leo Karl Berreth on January 8, 1944 moving to their farm at Beiseker, AB where they raised six children. Eunice enjoyed her life as a wife, mom and active member of community, judging garden & quilting events and member of AB Big Country Senior Sports. Eunice will be lovingly remembered by her children Elaine (Wayne) Garrett, Darlene Forrester, Joyce Forster, Peter (Goldie) Berreth, Cheryl (David) Johnson, Rob Berreth. Treasuring her 10 grandchildren – Sandi (Lyle), Annette (Doug), Vincent, Tracy (Darrin), Shawna, Shane (Tanya), Pete (Chelsea), Rebecca (Eric), Bonnie (Ben), Jamie (Danielle); 16 great grandchildren & a great great grandchild. She is survived by her sister Beth (Willis) Creighton; in-laws: Vera Garrett, Paul (Val) Berreth & Mariam Berreth and families.
Eunice was predeceased by her loving husband of 72 years Leo Karl Berreth; Sisters & brothers Irene (Cliff) Chatten, Ruth (Brian) Sommerville, Marc (Verna) Reed, Watson (Grace) Reed; in-laws Gladys (Bill) Strohschein, Ivan Berreth, Bob Garrett; sons-in-law Wayne Forrester and Bob Forster. A family ceremony will be held at the Zion Cemetery (east of Beiseker) where Eunice will rest with her beloved late husband Leo. Eunice’s family extends deepest heartfelt thanks to the amazing compassionate staff at Aspen Ridge Lodge, Didsbury, AB who made mom’s final walk home to our Lord Jesus with grace, dignity and kindness very peaceful.
