Obituary of Esme Johnston
Peacefully surrounded by the love of her family, at Maple View Long Term Care in Owen Sound, Sunday, August 16, 2020. Esmé Mildred Johnston, (nee Bowser), of Owen Sound, at the age of 82 years.
Dearly loved wife of Harold Johnston for 63 years. Loving mother of Kimberly Johnston, of Owen Sound and Jim Johnston (Lisa Dutton), of Brantford. Proud grandmother of Gatlyn Dunn (Marco), Colton Johnston and Wyatt Johnston. Dear sister of George Bowser (Dianne) and Tom Bowser (Kathleen). Predeceased by her parents, Benjamin and Ettie Bowser.
Friends may call at the BRIAN E. WOOD FUNERAL HOME, 250 – 14th Street West, Owen Sound, Ontario N4K 3X8 (519-376-7492) on Wednesday, 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, 50 people will be allowed in the building at any given time, and visitors are asked to wear a mask and follow physical distancing rules. A Private Memorial Service for Esmé Johnston will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel, on Thursday, August 20th, 2020 with Pastor David Oppertshauser and Pastor Ken Holley officiating. Extended family and friends are welcome to watch the funeral service via live stream on Thursday, August 20th at 11 a.m. by visiting the funeral home website www.woodfuneralhome.ca. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery, Owen Sound.
