S. ELWOOD ADDISON
“Addie”
Of Burks Falls
Peacefully at Nipissing Serenity Hospice in North Bay on Sunday December 27, 2020. Elwood Addison, beloved husband of Bonnie (nee Walker) for 66 years, was in his 92nd year.
Dear father of the late Lorrie Hartford (Dan) and the late Lynn Barry (Larry). Proud grandfather of Christine (Dan), Lindsay (Adam), Jennifer (Josh) and Chris (Karli). Great grandfather of James (Jacqueline), Peter (Paige), Skye, Navy, Alexis, Tobin, Nathanael, Ava, Charlie and Cooper.
Brother of Audrey Wilson, Iola Loveless and the late Edwin Addison.
Elwood began his professional life as an auto body technician later becoming a teacher at the Harwood Secondary School in Ajax. He had a lifelong passion for Scouting and was presented the Silver Acorn; the highest award Scouting has to offer volunteers. Elwood will be fondly remembered by all of his nieces, nephews, Scouting family and friends.
Friends may call at the Opatovsky Funeral Home-Dempster Chapel, 210 Ontario Street in Burks Falls on Thursday December 31, 2020 from 2 to 5 p.m.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
Spring interment in the Burk’s Falls Cemetery.
If desired, memorial donations to St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church or the Burk’s Falls and Area Scouting would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
