Obituary of Eileen Myrtle Lanthier
LANTHIER, Eileen Myrtle (nee Freeman); of Indian River passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 24th, 2020 at Extendicare Peterborough with her daughter at her side, in her 89th year. Beloved wife of the late Donald Lanthier (d.1998) of 45 years. Devoted and loving mother of her children Ira Lanthier, Louise (Tom) Hughes, Steven Lanthier, David (Jacqueline) Lanthier, Penny (Cecil) White, and predeceased by her son Junior Lanthier. Proud grandmother of 16 grandchildren and great-grandmother of 14 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Alvin, Harvey, Vernon, Helen, Darleen, and predeceased by her brother Eric. Daughter of the late Ira and Bessie Freeman. She will also be missed by many friends and family. Eileen was a caregiver of everyone, and enjoyed crafting. As per Eileen’s wishes cremation has taken place. The family would like to extend many heartfelt thanks to the staff at Extendicare Peterborough for their incredible kindness, support, and going above and beyond expectations.
