Edna Chinn
1922-2020
Edna Chinn passed away at the James Paton Memorial Regional
Health Centre, Gander, on Sunday December 27, 2020 at the age of
98.
She was predeceased by: parents Emily and Thomas Watkins; her
beloved husband willie; grandson Samuel Chinn; granddaughter Tracy
Rogers; siblings: Walter, Priscilla, Clara, Armenius, Ronald and
Florence.
Edna leaves with many loving and treasured memories: 9
children:6 sons: Roy (Louise), Wallace (Beverley), Aubrey (Kathleen),
Milton, Hubert (Marie), Armenius (Ida); 3 daughters: Una (Ross)
Forbes, Netta (Pat) Lamping and Joan (Curtis) Sceviour; 14
grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters-in-law: Lucy Rice,
Vena Burt and Frances Burt; as well as a circle of nephews, nieces,
extended relatives and friends.
The Chinn family would like to express a special thank you to
their extended family, the staff and management at the Nightingale
Manor for all the loving care and devotion given to their mom over the
past five years. Also the family also wishes to thank the doctors and
nursing staff of the James Paton Memorial Regional Health Centre for
their care and compassion over the past three weeks shown to their
mom.
In light of the current Covid-19 pandemic, the health and
safety of our families and our community continues to be our highest
priority. Keeping with Edna’s wishes at this time there will
be a private viewing followed by cremation. Donations in
Edna’s memory may be given to the New World Island East
Central United Church.
