It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Earl «Percy» Strickland son of the late Ernest and Corella. He passed away peacefully on May 30, 2020 at the QE2. Earl was a Newfie to the core. He was always smiling and willing to help. He held many jobs through his life, but the one closest to his heart was delivery groceries to the seniors in the south end. He enjoyed many things in life, but nothing more that showing off his grandchildren. So many people touched his heart, that it would be impossible to name everybody he considered friends and family.
He is survived by daughters Michelle (Brad) Couchman and Shauna (Mike) Bungay, grandchildren Courtney, Kyla, Anthony, and Chloe. Sisters Georgina Bowles, Linda Mansfield, Sherry Strickland, brother Wayne (Kim) and numerous nieces and nephews. He was also survived by special friends Penny, Cheryl and Joe. He was predeceased by his wife of 39 years, Sheila (Lanning), parents Ernest and Corelle, brother Brian, and many loved brother in-laws and sister in-law.
