WHITTAKER, Douglas «Doug»
passed away peacefully on Friday, December 18, 2020 at Erie Shores Hospice at 80 years of age. Beloved husband of Elizabeth (nee Oskineegish) for 58 years. Loving Dad of the late Elizabeth Annie (2008), Drew (Tammy) and George. Proud Papa of Raven, Ryan, Lillian, Dustin, Nick, Cara and Kaylee. Dearest brother of Eileen Cowell and predeceased by his siblings, Tom, Esther, Stan and Leonard. He will also be remembered by his many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff at Erie Shores Hospice for their wonderful care given to Doug. Also special thanks to Pastor Andrew Wilson from St. John’s Anglican Church in Leamington, for his support. Doug enjoyed camping and canoeing always having a love for the outdoors. He will be forever loved and missed. In following Doug’s wishes, a private family cremation has taken place.
