REID, Dorothy Etta (nee Berry)
Born in Kaladar , Ontario August 3, 1922, Dorothy Reid, of Stirling passed at the Stirling Manor Nursing Home on Monday, January 20, 2020 at the age of 97. Predeceased by her father Edward Berry and her mother Charity Victoria (nee Thompson). Much loved wife of the late Alvie Reid.
Cherished mother of Ellen Vanhorne (Larry) of RR#4 Stirling, and proud grandmother of Shannon Wannamaker (Wes), Nicole Carrierre (Jon) and great grandmother of Seth, Winston and Micah.
Dorothy is predeceased by her sons Calvin and Floyd (survived by daughter-in-law Linda), and daughter Patsy, her brothers and sisters; Walt (Mae), Dan, Fred (Liza), Dean (Laura), Allan (Betty), Kathleen (Ford) and Madeline (George), and her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law ; Rosie, Stella (Frank), Addie, Wellington, Ernest (Stella), Harvey and Lewis.
Survived by sister-in-law Gladys, and as well her many nieces and nephews. In keeping with her wishes, cremation arrangements have been made with STIRLING FUNERAL CHAPEL LTD. 87 James St. Stirling (613-395-2424). There will be no service at this time. If desired, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Stirling Manor are appreciated.
