Jones: Doris
After a short illness we grieve the passing of Doris Elizabeth Jones (nee Kish) in her 91st year. Loving wife of the late Howard Jones. Mother of Debra (Robert) and Dale (Karen). Loving grandmother of Cindy (Neil), Lee (Courtney), Cailey (Taylor), Ryan, Philip (Lindsay), Louise (Mikey) and Chloe (Gordon). Proud and loving Great Grandmother to Kody (Emily), Harley (Nathan), Braeden, Simon, Maddox, Angus and Kensie. Absolutely delighted to be a Great Great Grandmother to Emma. A long time entrepreneur and community member of Westport, ON. She was a help and support to many people as well as a great friend to many, many people (too many to name). She was very social and participated in church and community functions and as most folks knew her know she was very social and enjoyed community events. She particularly enjoyed participating in and hosting the “Crafty Ladies”. She loved spending time with family and had a wonderful Christmas Season with all of her family and friends. Thank you to all who were great support to her and to those kind souls who took care of her when she fell ill. It truly takes a village! We would also like to thank Dr. Sean Taylor and the many wonderful nurses and doctors on Kidd 7 and ICU for the wonderful care for our Mom and all the support and kindness for us. Friends and family will be received at Lyons Funeral Home, Westport Wednesday January 22, 2020 from 11AM-1PM when funeral will be conducted. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Westport Lions Club Mobility Van Service. We thank God she was our mother and that we had such an amazing woman in our lives. We keep her in our hearts.
