Doreen Elizabeth Tracy
1938-2020
At the Fundy Nursing Home, Blacks Harbour NB on October 25, 2020,
Doreen Elizabeth (Gaudett) Tracy, wife of the late Carl Tracy Sr. Born
at Saint John NB on October 25, 1938, she was the daughter of the late
Clifford and Agnes (Brown) Gaudett.
A loving wife, mother, grandmother, she is survived by her son;
Jerry (Donelda) Tracy of St. Stephen NB, her daughter; Kimberly
(Karen) Spellman-Tracy of Pennfield NB, nine grandchildren: Terry
Tracy, Scott Tracy, Wendy Cooke, Jonothan Tracy, Jeffrey Tracy, Holly
Adams, Caitlin Barry, Matthew Barry and Grace Leslie, 13 great
grandchildren with the 14th on the way: Carlie Cooke, Cameron Cooke,
Ava Adams, Thomas Barry, Adalyn Tracy, Adeline Adams, Everlee Tracy,
Julien Tracy, Jude Day, Isabelle Tracy, Luka Tracy, Danielle
Savoy-Richard, Donna Fairweather and yet to arrive, Baby Day. In
addition to her parents, Doreen was predeceased by her oldest son;
Carl Tracy Jr. and daughter in law Lucy (Mahar) Tracy.
Prior to her retirement, Doreen worked for Connors Brothers in
Blacks Harbour NB where she retired in 1999 after 25 years of service.
She loved knitting, warm weather, dogs, time spent with family and
friends, but more than anything, Doreen loved her grandchildren and
great grandchildren. After Carl’s death she was able to take a trip to
Alberta to visit some of them and was a highlight of her golden years.
The family would also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the
wonderful staff of the Fundy Nursing Home in Blacks Harbour for their
kind and compassionate care to Doreen and her family during her stay
there.
Resting at the Beaver Harbour Baptist Church from where the
service will be held on Thursday at 2pm with Rev. Bill Lea officiating
followed by interment in the Pennfield Rural Cemetery. Visiting on
Thursday prior to the service from 12 noon – 2pm. In Doreen’s memory,
donations to a charity of the donors choice would be appreciated by
the family. Please be advised that Covid-19 restrictions will be in
place as well as mask’s should be worn.
