Passed away unexpectedly January 30, 2020 at the age 59 years. Cherished son of Kathleen “Kaye” and the late Edwind. Brother of David (Alana), Kathy (Marianne Turner), Sharon (Greg Squires) and Wendy (Grant Dalton). Donald was predeceased by his niece Nicole. He will be survived and missed by many other relatives and friends from all over the world.
Born in Ottawa, Don will be fondly remembered by family and friends as a positive force, always looking to the bright side of life. His life journey took him across Canada and to the North, many US states and Europe through Katimavik, work (namely Eaton’s, the Bay, Radio Shack and the Bell Hotel (UK)) and for fun.
Family wish to thank the many Ottawa Hospital doctors and nurses, «The Ravines» residents, staff, the Champlain LHIN, Carefore Health & Community Services for their kindness and compassion.
Visitation will be held at Pinecrest Remembrance Centre, 2500 Baseline Road, Ottawa, on Friday February 7, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m. Reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Diabetes Canada (www.diabetes.ca) or the Canada Arthritis Society (Arthritis.ca). Online condolences may be made at www.colefuneralservices.com.
