Diane Simunovic (Ferko)
The family announces with sorrow the passing of Diane (Ferko) Simunovic at the Golden Manor on Wednesday, December 9th, 2020 at the age of 97. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph, her parents, Loiza and Mike Ferko, her brother, Paul Ferko, her grandson, David Simunovic and her daughter-in-law Roma Simunovic. She is survived by her sons Paul and Walter (Rosanne); her grandchildren: Karen (Mike) Larocque, Maria (Marc) Scalabrini, Derek Simunovic, Wayde (Tammy Vieno) Simunovic, Marisa Simunovic and Elena (Andrew Farinha) Simunovic; her great-grandchildren: Kyra, Ryan, Brixton, Kingsley, Oliver, Otto, Alexandre and Amelia. She will also be deeply missed by her sister Louise Skrobica and her nieces and nephews Michael Skrobica, Linda Skrobica, Annie Greco, Michael (Cathy) Simunovic and Angela (Rick) Stewart and their children and also Tom and Diane Dolanjski. Diane was a loving and supportive wife, mother, and grandmother in every sense of the word. She died the same way she lived her life, with grace and dignity, leaving us beautiful, heartfelt memories which we will cherish for a lifetime. Special thanks to the Golden Manor Timmins for their intelligent, loving and compassionate care over the course of Diane’s stay with them. The sense of family and belonging exhibited by the staff to our Mom was exceptional and inspiring, providing continuous relief for and reassuring to the family. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Maison funéraire LESSARD-STEPHENS Funeral Home. Because of COVID restrictions, this will be a private service for immediate family members.
