It is with great sadness that we announce that David George McKinna, age 62 years, of Saskatoon, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 4, 2020 at the Royal University Hospital, Saskatoon, SK.
He was predeceased by his father, David R. McKinna of Alida, SK., and sister, Glennis Carson of Weyburn, SK.
David will be mourned and dearly missed by his mother, Joyce; brothers, Jack, William, Richard, and Ron; nephews, Tyler and Lance; nieces, Jani, Jennifer and their families; good friends, Yixang Wang and Chris Babyak; also numerous cousins and friends.
David recently retired from Saskatoon Light and Power, where he was employed as an Electrical Technician. He enjoyed his work and his colleagues, and formed many lasting friendships.
David loved his family and friends, and enjoyed visiting with them, traveling and summer camping trips. He enjoyed many hobbies and was an avid train buff, and a life-long philatelist with a vast stamp collection.
A private family service to celebrate David’s life will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2020 from the Carnduff Cemetery, Carnduff, SK., with Reverend Michelle Moore officiating.
Donations may be given to the Royal University Hospital Foundation, 103 Hospital Drive, Saskatoon, SK. S7N 0W8 or any local Hospital or charity of your choice.
