Craig Garnet
Hiltz – 24, Kingston, passed away suddenly on
Saturday, September 5, 2020. Born in Amherst, he was a son of Lee and
Sharon (Roberts) Hiltz.
Craig
graduated from Cobequid Educational Centre in 2014 and from NSCC
Strait Area Campus in 2016 with his 3rd Class
Power Engineering trade certificate. He worked at Sproule Lumber and
currently at Acadia University, Wolfville and was studying to earn his
2nd Class Power Engineering. He loved playing
electric guitar, riding his motorcycle and spending time with his
friends.
Along with
his parents, Craig is survived by his brother, Nicholas Hiltz (Ansala
Pictou), Kingston; maternal grandmother, Eleanor Nelson, Amherst;
girlfriend, Julia Hamilton, Brookfield; aunt, Sherry (Hollis)
Bartlett, Bartlett Mills, New Brunswick; uncle, Bruce (Kelly) Hiltz,
Oxford; cousins, Julie Bartlett, Laura Bartlett, Bartlett Mills, New
Brunswick; Kiersten Hiltz, Adam Hiltz (Shelby), Oxford. He was
predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Gerald Roberts; paternal
grandparents, Garnet and Janet (Huntley) Hiltz.
Arrangements
have been entrusted to Mattatall – Varner Funeral Home, 55
Young Street, Truro, where Craig’s family will receive
friends from 4-8 p.m., Friday, September 11, 2020.

face masks and practice physical distancing.) Private
funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2020.
