Obituary of Connie Shirley Marchetti
MARCHETTI: Connie Shirley (nee Hendrickx) –
A lifelong resident of Chatham, Connie Marchetti passed away at Meadow Park Nursing Home, surrounded by her family on Thursday, February 6, 2020 at the age of 62.
Born in Chatham, Connie was the daughter of the late Raymond ‘Ray’ and Marie ‘Mary’ (Vercouteren) Hendrickx.
Loving mother of Rachel Marchetti (Dylan Duquette) of Chatham, Amanda Marchetti (Daniel Furlone) of Hamilton and Shawna Marchetti (Dave Thomas) of Chatham.
Proud ‘Grandma Connie’ to Mackayla Marchetti, Vivian Duquette Marchetti and Viola Thomas-Marchetti.
Dear sister to Helen Wilcox (late Ron) and Judy Goldhawk (Mike).
Also missed by nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.
Connie loved spending time with her family and she would often take them camping and traveling (wherever there was a pool). She loved attending the country dances at the legion and spending time with her crafts, playing cards (Euchre, President, Wizard, Phase 10) playing board games and watching her programs. She volunteered at May Court Day Care
She will be remembered for her great spirit, radiant personality and risqué sense of humour.

Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Monday, February 10, 2020 from 3:00 – 5:00 pm and 7:00 – 9:00 pm. A Celebration of Connie’s Life will be held at the Funeral Home at 11:00 am on Tuesday, February 11, 2020. Interment to follow at Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham.
Donations made in memory of Connie to the Kidney Foundation, Heart and Stroke Foundation or Breast Cancer Society would be appreciated.
