November 22, 1926 – April 25, 2020
It is with profound sorrow we announce the passing of Claire Boughen (nee Lymburner) on Saturday, April 25, 2020, in her 94th year.
Mom was predeceased by husband Raymond, and is survived by children Stewart (Carolin), Teresa (Dave) Roberts, Donna (Gary) Herkert, Kim (Don) Louis, seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She is also survived by sister Sharon King, sister-in-laws Elaine Lymburner, Noreen Lymburner, numerous nieces and nephews and her many friends at Summerland apartment.
Travelling, knitting, watching sports, especially her Toronto Blue Jays, playing cards and lunch dates with the ladies were some of her favourite activities. Mom also enjoyed dancing and proved you can teach an old dog new tricks as she took Highland dance lessons in her later years. In recent years she had the opportunity to participate in an Alaskan cruise which she thoroughly enjoyed. She and Dad put many miles on their vehicles travelling across the country to visit with children and grandchildren.
Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
