1963-2020
The passing of Cindy Theresa (Spears) Richard, wife of James E.
Richard of Beaver Harbour NB occurred unexpectedly at the Saint John
Regional Hospital, Saint John NB on November 30, 2020. Born in Halifax
NS on September 10, 1963, she was a daughter of Beverly (Bouchie)
Spears and the late Alvin M. Spears. A loving wife, mother,
grandmother, daughter, sister and niece, in addition to her husband of
39 years, Jim, she is survived by her children: Johnny (Marguerite)
Richard of Timberlea NS and Marci (Nick) Lynch of St. George NB; her
beloved grandchildren: Madison, Jacob and Morgan Richard and Jesse
Lynch; her mother: Beverly Spears (James Henry) of Halifax NS;
siblings: Mary Horne (Mike Feltmate) of Canso NS, Michael (Betty)
Spears of Manassette Lake NS, Freddy (Charlene) Spears of Cedar BC,
Leisa (Gordon) Relf of Lethbridge AB and Della (Jimmy) Horne of Little
Dover NS; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition
to her father, she was predeceased by one brother in infancy: Dana.
Prior to retirement, Cindy worked as an LPN and held a license in Nova
Scotia , British Columbia and New Brunswick. She loved her career in
nursing and enjoyed helping everyone she could. Cindy loved her
family, especially her grandchildren and looked forward to the many
overnight visits they had. When able, Cindy enjoyed crocheting,
baking, cooking and just being in the company of her family and
friends. Her love and commitment to her family will always be
remembered and her memory will live on in our hearts.
Arrangements in the care of the St. George Funeral Home (755-3533) 26
Portage Street, St. George NB. Resting at the funeral home with
visiting on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. As keeping with Cindy’s
wishes, she will be laid to rest in Canso NS at a later date. In her
memory, donations to Charlotte County Cancer or to the Eastern
Charlotte Extra Mural Program would be greatly appreciated by the
family.
