Brian Earl Glenn
1947-2020
With heavy hearts and immense sadness, the family of Brian Earl Glenn
announces his sudden passing at the Saint John Regional Hospital in
the early hours of May 9th, 2020. Brian left this world, at the age of
73, with the love of his life, Ruth (Taylor) Glenn by his side.
Words can not express the love that Brian had for his family; and this
love was returned in equal measure.
Born in Minto, N.B., on April 5, 1947, Brian was the son of the late
Earl and Patricia Glenn, brother to Gary (Beverley), Mark (Myrna),
Brenda (Orland) and Gayle (predeceased).
Brian lived a full life, loved his friends and family deeply and knew
the value of a hard day’s work. Never shy to offer a helping
hand, for much of the past few decades, Brian has worked hard to bring
prosperity back to a region of the province that has been hit hard. He
firmly believed that a strong rural NB makes for a stronger
province.
Brian will be forever missed by his loving wife Ruth and his five
children Lori (Andrew Fisher) of Rothesay, Jason (Lindsay Glenn) of
Douglas Harbour, Traci (Clint Simmons) of Fredericton, Rachel (Todd
MacFarlane) of Durham Bridge and Suellen (Nathan Stickles) of
Fredericton. As anyone could attest, Brian considered his children his
greatest accomplishment; his daughters, the apple of his eye and his
son, a faithful companion.
Brian’s greatest joy in recent years was found in making
memories with his 13 cherished grandchildren; Luke, Lauren, Samuel,
Emily, Kristen, Noah, Ella, Abigail, Gillian, Gavin, Garrett, Glenn
and Gordon. Many memories were made on the shores of Sunnyside Beach
on Grand Lake, and in Salmon River for the annual Thanksgiving
Scavenger Hunt. Brian’s legacy of family first will surely live
on in the generations to come. He held a special place in his heart
for Ruth’s three sisters; Lois Vincent, Jeananne Knox and Ava
Coakley, and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Brian’s life will be held at a later date.
