It is with saddened hearts, we announce the death of our son Blaise who passed away on December 12, 2020 in Kingston Ontario at the age of 59. Born in Antigonish Nova Scotia and later moved to Espanola Ontario with his family where he grew up. Sharing many fond memories with his family and friends. His natural ability for playing the bagpipes was enjoyed by all. While practising in the backyard many people would stop to watch and enjoyed listening to all the tunes. He also loved playing hockey in the backyard with his friends and family, reminiscing years later about the good times.
Blaise will be lovingly remembered by his parents Theresa and Blaise MacKenzie, his siblings Shirley (Ron)Langlois, Kevin & (Eileen )MacKenzie, Patricia (Robert )Campbell, Debbie MacKenzie, Mary (Ken )Hurtubise, and Jill (David) Fairbairn. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.He was predeceased two infant sisters Jacqueline MacKenzie.
Visitation will be on Tuesday December 22, 2020 in the Bourcier Funeral Home starting at 9:30 am until the Funeral Mass at 11:00 am in Paroisse Saint Jude Parish, with Fr. Gilles Grandmont presiding. Interment in the Espanola Cemetery at a later date in the spring. In Memoriam, donations to the Canadian Mental Health Association would be appreciated.
