Upon closing this business in June 2004, he was appointed Property Manager/Consultant of the Doctor’s Complex at the Sus Hospital and also held the position of Vice-President and Secretary of the Board of Directors- Sus Health Centre Foundation Board. Bill managed several shopping centres and apartment buildings in New Brunswick and Nova Scotia for several years. He was a commercial traveler for the Javex Company in the 60’s. Prior to this he was an advertising representative for the Telegraph Journal and Evening Times Globe. Bill was a member of the Simonds Lions Club and the Sus Lions Club and was granted life membership in the Lions Foundation of Canada in 1989. Bill enjoyed boating on the Saint John River for many years and camping in his motor home. He was director of the Maritime Twin Seas Caravan Club, Sus Kings Chapter 22 for several years and was an avid bowler. Bill was President of Sus Downtown Business Association in 1999 and served as VP and Director prior to that. We want to take this opportunity to extend a special “thank you” to the staff and volunteers of the Village/Villa Nursing Home for their great care and attention to Bill for the past 2.5 years. Unfortunately, and due to the current pandemic, there will be no visitation and a private funeral will be held for the family. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424).
For those who wish, donations may be made to the IWK Children’s Hospital or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
