Beulah’s Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce today that we have lost the matriarch of our family. In her 83rd year, Beulah, will forever be remembered as a woman devoted to family.
An early Christmas present, Beulah was cherished as the oldest child of Elijah and Eileen (Snooks) Allen of Mt. Moriah.
Many stories have been shared throughout the years of how Beulah took on a lot of responsibility to help her father with her 11 younger siblings after the unexpected death of her own mother.
Eventually she met and married her friend and beloved husband of 62 years, Lorne, with whom she raised four wonderful children. They are now left to mourn her loss. Her sons: Gary (Debbie), Keith (Cathy), Darryl (Kathy) all of Corner Brook, NL and her daughter Debbie Collings (Cecil) of Dartmouth, NS.
Perhaps her greatest joy came from being a loving grandmother and great-grandmother. Her memory will last forever in the hearts of her grandchildren: Ashley Collings (Andrew Naugler); Cory (Samantha) Collings; Matthew Murley; Elizabeth Murley (Brandon Goulding); as well as Justin Fowler (Veronica Lui) and Jeff Fowler (Nicole Antle). She was particularly proud of having had the opportunity to meet and spend some quality time with her three great-grandchildren: Ayden Naugler; and Libby & Emma Collings.
She is survived by nine of her siblings: Max (Cassie), Don (Pauline), Calvin (Donna), Reg (Jean), Ina Earle (George), Shirley Dicks, Linda Coombs, Jean Hamlyn (Eugene) and Rhonda Porter. There are also a large circle of nieces and nephews too numerous to mention and she will be missed by many friends and extended family members especially Alex & Rickie Murley.
Beulah was predeceased by her own parents as well as her in-laws, Clausen & Elizabeth Murley and Onea Murley. She also experienced the loss of two younger brothers, Russell and baby Danny; and other extended family members she considered friends including her brother and sister-in-laws: Renne & Les Mitchell; Shirley & Max Reid; Clarence & Rae Murley; John Dicks and Jack Coombs.
She will forever be remembered, loved and missed.
