Betty’s Obituary
BENNETT, Betty May ~ Age 62, of Aylesford, Kings Co., passed away suddenly on Wednesday, January 8, 2020, in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Digby, on May 23, 1957, she was a daughter of the late Donald and Dorothy (Brown) Pipes. Betty was a loving wife, mother, nanny, sister, aunt and a friend to many. She enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing and spending time with family and friends, and a lot of quality time with her three grandchildren who she adored and they adored her. Betty had special relationships with her nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. She is survived by her daughter, Dorothy (Ray), Berwick; son, George (Kelly), Aylesford; grandchildren, Trinity, Zack and Keagan; siblings, Angela (Ricky), Marion, Marjorie (Peter), Donnie (Doris). Betty also had a special “Sweetheart”, Wayne Levy who loved her dearly and will miss her very much. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her loving husband, Junior; infant twin brother, David; and infant brother, Philip. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Betty’s life will take place from 2-4 p.m., Wednesday, January 15, in Windermere Community Hall, 402 Windermere Road, Windermere. A family interment will take place at a later date. Donations in her memory may be made to Aylesford & District Fire Department. Dorothy and George would like to extend a special thanks to the paramedics and first responders from Aylesford & District Fire Department for everything they did for Betty and their efforts were much appreciated.
