Peacefully on Friday, July 10, 2020, in her 98th year. Beloved wife of the late Jacob Gutman. Devoted mother and mother-in-law of Polly and Tom Varadi, Rosie and the late Ronnie Tock. Cherished Bubbi of Robert and Mariana Varadi, Rena and Simon Welsby, Andrea Rachel and Daniel Wormeli, Sam and Elizabeth Tock. Adored Bubbi Bela of Adam, Ethan, and Amira Varadi; Kaylee and Hamish Welsby; Aryeh Shalom, Bluma, and Aron Gavriel (Gaby) Wormeli; Yonina, Joshua, and Ronni Tock. Dear sister and sister-in-law of the late Manya and Chaim Gutman, the late Elek and Zahava Gutman. Cherished aunt of Aron and Bobbi Gutman, as well as her many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews in Israel. After surviving the atrocities of the holocaust, Bela started a new life in Canada. She was a talented seamstress, accomplished artist, fitness enthusiast, gracious hostess, avid reader, wonderful cook, and outstanding «balebusta». Holidays will not be the same without her famous gefilte fish, kugel, and honey cake. Our heartfelt gratitude to the caregivers and staff of the 3rd floor at Sunrise Senior Living, DDO, for their attentive, kind and gentle care.
