It is with great sadness and much love that the family of Beverly Bara announces her passing on August 31, 2020, at age 67.
If you knew Bev, you knew that she was a fighter. She fought a long battle with cancer, and won time-and-time again. Unfortunately, after 11 years, her body had enough.
Bev was the first of seven kids. As the oldest, she quickly learned how to be a caretaker, so it was natural that Bev committed her adult life to caring for her family. Bev was a dedicated wife, mother, and more recently, grandmother. In her own words, “Being a grandmother is the best job I will ever have.”
Bev was the loving and devoted mother of Carmen (Scot) Bara and Robin (Tony) Bara, cherished wife of Clayton Bara, for 47 years, and adored nana of her most precious twin grandboys, Cal and Jack Williams. Bev was the loving daughter of Simone (Shorty) Franks and late father Edward Franks, and sibling to Audrey (Larry) Funge, Barb (Grant) Patterson, Darlene (Ron) Roberts, Joe (Arlene) Franks, Wally (Trudy) Franks, Perry (Penny) Franks. Bev will be forever remembered by her family and dear friends.
In light of the escalating health crisis, travel restrictions, and government guidelines, our family has to accept that we are currently unable to give Bev the send-off that she deserves. Instead, we will be holding a small service for immediate family and close friends to say goodbye.
In lieu of flowers, we ask you to consider a donation to the Cross Cancer Institute, whose staff dedicated endless hours to sustaining Bev for as long as her body could manage. We hope that through donations, we can help other cancer patients receive the most precious gift of all — time.
Nos plus sincères sympathies à la famille et aux amis de BARA Beverly August 31 2020..
