Aurore Gallant
1928-2020
Aurore Gallant (Babineau) of
Saint-Louis-de-Kent, NB passed away on Monday July 6, 2020 at the age
of 92. She was the wife of the late Jean-Baptiste Gallant
and the daughter of the late Clément and Marguerite
(Vautour) Babineau.
She will be sadly missed by
her children: Florella (Réginald Aucoin) of Dieppe,
Raymonde (Camille Gauthier) of Moncton, Marielle of Ottawa, Janice (Ty
Thériault) of Moncton, Jean-Guy (Denise Simard) of Shediac,
Roland and Louis-Paul of Saint-Louis-de-Kent, Chantal (Yves
Léger) of Saint John, Michel (Sophie Carrier) of
Sherbrooke, QC, as well as 16 grandchildren and 8 great
grandchildren.
She will also be missed by her
nine brothers and sisters: Exina of Guelph, ON, Firmin,
Marie-Luce and Clément of Saint-Louis-de-Kent, Anna of
Scarborough, ON, Alfred of Saint John, Marianne of Leominster, Mass.,
Cécilia and Lucie of Dieppe, as well as many sisters-in-law
and brothers-in-law.
She is now resting with her
parents and five sisters: Régina, Ursule,
Alice, Louise and Eva at a young age.
Visitation will be held at
Thompson’s Funeral Home, 148 Saint-Ignace Road,
Saint-Louis-de-Kent, on Wednesday, July 8 from 7 pm to 9 pm and
Thursday, July 9 from 9 am to 11 am. Given the COVID-19 pandemic,
visitors are required to adhere to the guidelines issued by the New
Brunswick Department of Health Pandemic Task
Force.
A funeral mass will be
celebrated on Thursday, July 9 at 11 am at
Saint-Louis-des-Français Roman Catholic Church,
Saint-Louis-de-Kent. A private internment in the
old parish cemetery will follow the
mass.
The family would like to give
warm thanks to Dr. Josette Vautour for her compassion and devotion
toward our mother. The family would also like to
thank Marc-André Vienneau, director, and the entire staff
and volunteers of the Villa Maria.
