It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Arthur Saunders of Marystown announces his passing. Arthur passed away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Center in Burin on December 15th, 2020 at the age of 79. Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are his sons, Art Saunders (Ruby) of Marystown, Dan Saunders (Crystal) of Marystown, and Chris Saunders (Shelby) of Marystown; 8 grandchildren, Nikita, Brody, Brenda, Kayla, Cory, Jennifer, Justin, and Alicia; 5 great-grandchildren, Brooke, Tori, Rachel, Jake, and Harper; brothers, Cyril Saunders (Greta) of Grand Bank, Sam Saunders (Martha) of Brookside, Winston Saunders of Grand Bank, and Baxter Saunders (Lorraine) of Marystown; sisters, Cynthia Clarke of Red Harbour, and Viola Smith (Austin) of Red Harbour; daughter-in-law, Jane Saunders; and his beloved dog, Nikko; plus a large circle of extended family and friends. Arthur was predeceased by his wife, Brenda; son, Roland; parents, John and Mary Saunders; sisters, Jessie Smith, and Marion Saunders; mother-in-law, Annie Banfield.
The Saunders Family will be accepting visitors at Wiseman’s Funeral Homes in Marystown on Wednesday, December 16th from 2pm to 4pm & 7pm to 9pm and Thursday, December 17th from 12pm to 4pm & 7pm to 9pm. This will be a walk through visitation with a maximum of 20 people in the building at one time.
A private Funeral Service will take place at Wiseman’s Funeral Home in Marystown on Friday, December 18th at 10am.
Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery.
In Arthur’s memory donations may be made to The Saunders Family or flowers gratefully accepted
