ATKINSON, Ann Eunice – age 75, Nakile Home for Special Care, Argyle, passed away on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at Nakile. Born October 18, 1945 in Toronto, she was a daughter of the late Robert William and Lillian May (Cheeseman) Chaney. Ann was a retired worker at Roseway Manor, Sandy Point. She enjoyed gardening, spending time with her grandchildren, volunteering at the New to You Thrift Store and was a member of the Roseway Hospital Ladies Auxiliary. She is survived by her children, Bernard Atkinson and Christa (Troy) Hayes, both of Tusket and Amber (Jeremy) Smith, Yarmouth, as well as by grandchildren, Adam (Jaimee), Twyla (Chris) and Matthew (Jerrica). She is also survived by siblings, Joan (Chris) O’Brian-Curtain, Orangeville, ON; Alan Chaney, Barrie, ON; Judy Chaney, Orangeville, ON; Donna Chaney, British Columbia and Michael Chaney, Regina, SK. Aside from her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Alpheus Brown Atkinson; a son, Duane Atkinson and a brother, Harry “Joe” Chaney. Arrangements have been entrusted to H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Yarmouth and there will be no visitation or service. Memorial donations may be made to the MS Society of Canada.
