Alan Gerald Delaney
1947-2020
Delaney – The
death occurred at the QE11 Health Sciences Centre, VG Site, Halifax,
NS, on Monday, December 7, 2020, of Alan Delaney, of Summerside, aged
73 years. Born in Halifax, NS and raised in Shelburne, NS, Alan was
the son of the late Joan (Smith) Delaney
Hallett. Survived by his loving wife Carol
(Thompson) Delaney; adoring daughters Kilby Delaney
and Jilian Delaney (Steven Morrison) and
Steven’s three sons Tanner, Taylor and Alex; and by
his mother-in-law Muriel Thompson. Brother-in-law of Errol
Thompson (Cathy Bowness); Sandy Thompson and Lonnie (Laurie) Thompson.
He is also survived by family in NS, several nieces and nephews and
cherished friends. Al was predeceased by a very special man
in his life, his father-in-law Elmer Thompson and also by his
stepfather Aubrey Hallett. Resting at the Moase Funeral Home,
Summerside. Private family visiting hours and private family service
will be held. Interment in the Lot 16 United Church Cemetery, Lot 16.
Memorial donations to the Prince County Hospital Foundation would be
appreciated.
