It is with great sorrow and sadness that we advise you that Alan “Ric” Bisson originally from Ottawa he made Lanark County his home for the past 30 years, passed away on December 25th, 2020 at home at home in Carleton Place, ON following his battle with cancer.
Beloved husband of Danielle Brind’Amour-Bisson, loving father of Marcus and Brigitte (Shawn Janisse) and Grandpa of Zakary who brought so much happiness to his life. He also leaves behind several nephews and nieces, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law. He was predeceased by his parents, his sister Marina and brother Michael (Leslie Marshall Bisson).
He was a hardworking man and always had to be busy even retired he worked for Home Hardware part time. He always made sure his family was protected and loved. He loved to cook and receive family and loved to party hard with his friends. He learned about travel late in life but thoroughly enjoyed it. He will be missed terribly. Two years ago, they gave you 4 months to live and as usual you battled and we had extra time together.
We would like to thank Dr. Erin Jamieson for the wonderful care as well as all the nurses at Bayshore Health for the care and dedication they provided. We would also like to mention Dr. Nicholas and the cancer center team as well as the Carleton Place Hospital staff for always going above and beyond. A special thank you to Mark, a lifelong friend for always being there and helping out and to Marcia.
Given the circumstances of Covid-19, a private family gathering will be held at a later date.
Your expressions of sympathy can translate into a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society, LAWS or the Homeless Shelter.
