Agnes Rose Rose (Lapointe) September 24, 1929-May 25,2020
It is with sadness that we announce that our Mom, our Gramma/Amma, Agnes Rose, passed away peacefully on May 25, 2020 at Carman Memorial Hospital.
She is lovingly remembered by her children: Charlene (Stan) Anderson, Don (Kathy) Rose, Ron Rose, Rhonda (Garry) Unger and Donna (Martin) Reutter. She was a wonderful and loving Gramma/Amma to Dean Anderson, Jared Rose, Karin (Adam) Nicolajsen, Jason (Leslie) Rose, Melissa (Tyler) Spring, Logan Rose, Kasia Unger (Josh Conceicao), Jael Unger, Nathan Unger, Celine Reutter (Jeremy Friesen), Adam and Michael and Nicholas Reutter. Also her dear little great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren: Kenrose, Bailey, and Dustyn, Alice and Nora, Gavin and Chase, Jayden, Kolton, and Tyson. Bella, Cruz, Summer and Skye. She was predeceased by husband, Charlie Rose, daughter-in-law, Tracy Rose, and great-granddaughter, Samantha Rose.
Mom was born Sept 24, 1929 in Haywood, Manitoba to Alexander and Caroline Lapointe. She was the youngest of a family of 7; Harry, Joe, Mary, Carrie, Frieda and Lillian. Mom went to Sperling to work and met Charlie Rose and they married on June 4, 1947. They were married for 64 years until Dad was called Home on Oct 4, 2012. Together, Mom and Dad farmed in Sperling and Barnsley and then back to Sperling. They also worked together looking after Sperling School, Arena and Cemetery. Mom also worked in the Sperling Store and did cleaning at the Sperling United Church. Mom loved animals, the outdoors and gardening. She did alot of canning of harvest from the garden and she made delicious pies and buns. She also enjoyed knitting slippers and helped the Sperling Bear Ladies by cutting out pattern pieces and pinning them together. Most of all, Mom loved her family and the children were the pride and joy of her life. We will remember all the happy memories as we honour Amma’s life.
We would like to thank staff at Carman Hospital, the Boyne Lodge, Home-Care, and Marnie Fry and her staff for all the wonderful care that Mom has received over the years.
A memorial service for Agnes Rose will be held at a later date.
Memorial donations can be made to Charity of Your Choice.
From the Tree of life, each leaf must fall-
The green, the gold, the great, the small…
Each one in God’s own time, He’ll call-
With perfect love. He gathers all.
