Theresa’s Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Theresa Mary Marche (Fowler) announce her passing at the age of 77 at the Western Health Corner Brook Long Term Care Centre after a long and hard fought battle with dementia. She leaves with warm and loving memories her daughter Francina (Chris) Burton in Corner Brook, NL, sons Sheldon (Carol) Marche and Harold (Melissa) Marche in Abbotsford, BC, grandchildren Jill & Ryan Burton, and Arabella & Olivia Marche.
Theresa was predeceased by her husband Albert Marche, the love of her life, in 1999, her parents Sadie and Francis Fowler, and siblings Ben, Marie, Lawrence, Harold, and Justin. Theresa is survived by her siblings Gerard (Theresa), Albert (Pauline), Claire (Albert), Ralph (Mary), Francis, Eleanor (Cliff), Christina (Harold), as well as numerous nieces and nephews and a large circle of relatives and friends.
Theresa moved with her family to Labrador City in 1961 and started work at the post office where she met Albert. Relocating to Stephenville in 1980, Theresa returned to post-secondary to complete her Licensed Practical Nurse program, which built upon her life-long passion to take care of people.
Special Thank you to Dr. Culliton and the staff on the Raspberry Road unit of the Long Term Care Centre, who provided Theresa with exceptional care and compassion during her long struggle with Alzheimer’s disease.
Visitation will take place at Russell’s Funeral Home in Stephenville on Sunday December 15 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, December 16 at St. Stephen’s at 78 West Street, Stephenville, NL. Internment at Hillside Interfaith Cemetery in Stephenville. Reception to follow at the Santa Maria Club.
