MUIR, Sylvia May
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sylvia May (nee Woodley), surrounded by family and friends on December 30th, at the age of 80 years. Beloved wife of Graham, proud and loving mother of Michael (Debb) Matthews, David Matthews, Liz (David) Stinson, and proud grandmother of Kaitlyn and Riley Matthews, and Rachel Stinson. She was predeceased by her parents, Gerald and Edith Woodley, and her wonderful daughter-in-law Mary Hartson. The family would like to thank all of Sylvia’s friends who loved and supported her in her courageous battle. As well, a huge thank you to the staff at Bayshore Home Health Care and the Palliative Care Unit of Brockville General Hospital for their amazing care and support. In lieu of flowers or donations, we ask that you take a moment to hug your child, grandchild, friend, or walk in the woods for a moment, an hour or a day. Time waits for no one. A private family service will follow at a later date.
