Susan Carol Maskell
1957-2019
Susan Carol Maskell – age 62, of New Minas, passed away on
Saturday, December 21, 2019 in the Valley Regional Hospital,
Kentville. Born in Kentville, she was a daughter of Bob Maskell,
Cambridge and Joyce (Fleet) Olmstead, Berwick. Susan had been employed
with Environmental Services at the Valley Regional Hospital,
Kentville, for over 23 years. She enjoyed bowling, playing guitar and
singing, shopping, family and especially loved her dogs. She is
survived by her common-law husband, Terry Barkhouse; daughter, Lisa
Marie Maskell, Alberta; son, Stacey Maskell, Dartmouth; siblings,
Gloria Sproule, Waterville, Margaret Sproule, Bridgetown, Robert
Maskell, Berwick, Linda Maskell, Windsor, ON, Sarah Whynot,
Bridgewater, Beverley (Jim) Brewer, Dartmouth, Marjorie Sharp,
Windsor, Roy (Heather) Sanford, Tantallon, Jerry (Brenda) Hiscoe,
Eastern Passage, Darlene Dill, Lakeville, Marilyn (Richard) Atwell,
Kentville; mother-in-law, Vivian Barkhouse, New Minas; several nieces
and nephews. She was predeceased by her step-mother, Bertha Palmer;
sister, Sharon Pearl-Maskell and father-in-law, Lloyd Barkhouse.
Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation, by
request. A graveside service will be held in the Spring of
2020 in the Willow Bank Cemetery, Wolfville. Donations in memory may
be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Funeral arrangements have been
entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services,
Kentville.
