Passed peacefully away surrounded by her loving family at St. Pats Mercy Home St. John’s on Wednesday Dec. 4 2019, Sophie Toope (nee Miller) of Shoal Hr. Trinity Bay at age 94 years. Predeceased by husband Clarence and her siblings. Leaving to mourn her loss are a tremendous circle of nieces,nephews,great nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.Sophie was like a second mother and grandmother to so many in her family. In turn the love and care she showed was beyond measure and we will all carry with us forever.She spent many years as a member of the L.O.B.A and the Anglican Church Women. During her time with them she was dedicated and again showed care to the people in her community. A special thanks to the nursing staff at St. Pats mercy Home for the care she received especially in her last days. Also special thank you to family and friends who helped and cared for her in recent years. She truly appreciated all the kindness shown to her. Resting at Fewers Funeral Home Clarenville NL with visitation on Dec. 6 2019 2 p.m to 9 p.m. Funeral services to be held on Saturday Dec. 7 at 11:00 a.m at Fewers Funeral Chapel Clarenville NL. Interment to follow at the Anglican Church Cemetery, Trinity, TB. Flowers gratefully accepted. Donations may also be made to the Dr. G. B Cross Memorial Hospital in Clarenville.
