Quinn, Philip ‘Phil’ Francis
October 3, 1952 – December 25, 2019
It is with heavy hearts that we share the peaceful passing of Phil on December 25, 2019 at the age of 67. Loving and cherished husband and best friend of Cathy (Loughlin) for nearly 40 years. Proud father to Carina (Evan Rocque), Brad (Katy Treehuba), and Kirsten (Rielly Wilson). Proud and adoring Grandpa to Molly, Rosie, Remi, and Taylor.
Dear son of Margaret (Downey) and the late Michael Quinn. Older brother of Neil (Debbie), Allan, Glen (Joan), Sheila (Brian Smith), and Sharon (Mark Guindon). He will forever be in the hearts of the Loughlin family, Ed (Suzie), Gord (Karen) and Beth (Scott Wilson). Loving uncle to his many nieces and nephews. Fondly remembered by his many aunts and uncles in the Downey family and a much loved and “favourite” nephew of Carl and Joanne Quinn. He enriched our lives with his gentle spirit, loving ways, kindness, and his infectious smile. He will be greatly missed by all his family and friends. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Daley Funeral Home, 6791 Bank Street, (between Scrivens Drive and Metcalfe Corner) from 6-8pm Sunday December 29 and 2-4 and 6-8pm Monday December 30. Funeral Tuesday December 31, to Our Lady of the Visitation Church, 5338 Bank Street for Mass of Christian Burial at 11am. Interment Parish Cemetery at a later date. Special thanks to the Ottawa Heart Institute for all their loving care and support. If desired memorial donations in Phil’s memory can be made to the University of Ottawa Heart Institute, 40 Ruskin Dr. Ottawa, ON K1Y 4W7 or the Osgoode Care Centre, 7650 Snake Island Rd. Metcalfe, ON K0A 2P0 would be appreciated by the family.
