Obituary
On Sunday, December 15, 2019 our beloved mother, step-grandmother and dear friend Panagoula (Nota) Litsas (nee’ Sereggela) peacefully crossed over to the eternal angelic gates into the arms of our Lord at the age of 88 years.
Cherished wife of 44 years of the late Spiro Litsas; beloved mother of Kostantinos (Pelagia), and Anthony (Tracey); and adored step-grandmother of John and Sam. Nota will dearly be missed by all near and far including her sisters-in-law, Helen Sereggela and family, and Vasiliki Litsas and family; as well as numerous nephews and nieces. Nota is predeceased by her parents, Antoni and Katerina Sereggela; her brother George; and her sisters Dimitra (Dimitri), Sophia (Solomon), Vasiliki (Stelios) and Areti (Andreanos).
Nota’s passion of life was her dedication and devotion to the church, her family and cherished friends. She loved cooking, baking, crocheting, and looking after her beautiful flowers and garden. Nota always supported the Alberta Children’s Hospital which for many years was located down the road from her home in Knob Hill.
Nota had a fulfilled life of 88 years and will be dearly missed by all. Love you mom and yiayia.
Funeral Service will be held at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church (1 Tamarac Crescent SW) on Friday, December 20, 2019 at 10:00am with The Rev. Peter Rougas, Presider. Graveside Service will follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
