Lintner (Nee: Thompson), Mildred “Jo”
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Jo Lintner while surrounded by family at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on December 9, 2019 at the age of 89.
Jo was born in Oshawa on July 16, 1930 to the late Nelda and Jack Thompson predeceased by her sisters Evelyn (Art) Bishop and June (Peter) Grice. Beloved wife of Tod (Charles) Lintner for the past 72 years. Loving mother of Ted (Kathryn) and Tim (Sheryl) Lintner. She will be deeply missed by her 9 grandchildren and 9 great children. Whom she supported in all their activities and extra curricular interests. Jo will be fondly remembered by her extended family and many friends.
Jo belonged to many different clubs and organizations Including the Whitby Lawn Bowling ,Whitby Curling Club, plus Carruthers Creek Golf and Country Club and the Ajax Senior Centre as well as a long time member of the Saint Mark’s United Church in Whitby.
The family would like to thank those who supported Jo and the family until her last days.
A private family burial will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers a donation to a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
