Maurice Lavigne
1952-2019
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing
of Maurice Lavigne of Fredericton, NB, on Sunday, December 8th, 2019.
Born on July 29th, 1952, in Bathurst, NB, Maurice leaves behind his
loving wife, Louise, and son, Marc Antoine (Robert).
Maurice is survived by his siblings, Lorine Lavigne of
Moncton, NB, Dora LeBreton (Hector) of Quispamsis, NB, Majella Cormier
of Edmundston, NB, Anne-Marie Saulnier (Valmond) of Beresford, NB,
Margaret-Rose Wood (Bill) of Greenwood, NS, Norma Lewis (Reginald) of
Napean, ON, and Robert Lavigne (Rebecca) of Rothesay, NB. He will also
be fondly remembered by all of his loving in-laws from the Gosselin
family.
Maurice was predeceased by his siblings, Edwidge, Jeannette,
Blanche and Aurele; brothers-in-law, Ben and
Lévi.
During his life, Maurice was a man who accomplished many
things. There wasn’t a task or a hobby too large for his
interest. From journalism, to writing books, to teaching Qi Gong at
the YMCA, he approached everything in life with positivity, a gentle
spirit, and a touch of humour. Maurice lived such a full life and he
will be dearly missed by all.
A Celebration of Maurice’s life will take place at
McAdam’s Funeral Home on Saturday, December 14th, 2019 from
1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the
Fredericton YMCA.
