Mary Theresa Hogan
November 19, 1930 – December 26, 2019
Mary Theresa Elizabeth Hogan (nee Fewer), aged 89, passed peacefully away on Thursday, December 26 ,2019 after a brief illness while in Palliative Care at the Miller Centre. Predeceased by her husband, Kevin (2000) and her daughter, Kathy (2012). Mary will be lovingly remembered by her three sons Noel (Jane), Mike (Thelma), Craig (Lori) and son-in-law John Taylor; also by her nine grandchildren Sean, Noel, Kate, Hilary, Alex, Nick, Ross, Kelsey and Riley and two great-grandchildren Maisie and Maddie. Mary will also be remembered by her surviving brother Bill Fewer and sisters-in-law Robin Fewer, Kay Fewer, Doris Fewer, Dulcie Hogan, and Gerrie Hogan; and a vast circle of relatives and dear friends including her very special friend Eva. Mary will be remembered as a gentle, kind, generous, and loving Mom, Nanny, sister, aunt, and friend with a great sense of humour and big heart. Special thanks to the doctors and nurses on 4SA at the HSC, and to the nurses at the Palliative Care Unit for their kindness and care. Cremation has taken place, and a celebration of Mary’s life will take place Saturday, January 4th at 9:30 a.m. at St. Teresa’s Parish Mundy Pond Road. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre on Topsail Road. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
